British Airways Executive Club Terms and Conditions


Members of the British Airways Club are subject to the following British Airways Executive Club terms and conditions:

Who can be members? 

Individuals of 18 years of age or over can join the Executive Club. Partnerships, companies, unincorporated associations or similar entities cannot apply for membership. British Airways (Great Britain) reserves the right to admit or not applicants; and not to enroll applicants with residence in certain countries or regions. The list of countries which are not open to membership is available at ba.com. 

Applicants can sign up for membership at ba.com and will be required to provide their complete name and email address for correspondence. Upon acceptance as members they will be given a membership number, a member account and a card. Multiple accounts are not allowed. In case a member needed to change any personal data; they can do it at ba.com.

In case of death of a member, AVIOS points and Tier Points will be cancelled.

What are the Executive Club Tier Points and how do they work?

Tier Points are credit points earned by a member to move up from Blue to Bronze; from Bronze to Silver; and from Silver to Gold level of membership. Tier points are earned for flying on eligible sectors and at eligible fares on British Airways or on certain British Airways (Great Britain) partner airlines. In order to obtain Tier Points, members must provide their full name and Membership number when booking their flight. British Airways reserves the right to modify the rules to earn Tier points, in which case it will notify its members in advance.

What are the executive Club AVIOS Points and how do they work?

AVIOS points are granted according to the class of travel booked, paid for and ticketed.
Agency discount tickets, industry discount tickets and airline employee discount tickets are not eligible for Tier Points or AVIOS Points. They can be accumulated only once per flight per member. If a member has not earned or redeemed; purchased or transferred AVIOS Points for a period of 36 consecutive months, all the AVIOS points accumulated will be cancelled.

New members can claim AVIOS and Tier Points for eligible British Airways flights taken up to 3 months prior to joining the club. Executive Club members who are registered in North America (including Bermuda and the Caribbean), and the UK can earn “bonus AVIOS Points” when they reserve a flight inclusive package.

Can I terminate my membership? Can British Airways terminate my membership?
Yes. Members can terminate their membership at any time by writing to their local service center expressing their wish not to a member of the Executive Club any more. Their card, cut in half, must be enclosed to the writing.
British Airways can terminate membership if a member commits fraud, misconduct or is given a banning notice. The airline will notify the member about the determination and will ask for the member’s card to be returned to the company.

What will happen if British Airways terminates the Executive Club?

British Airways (Great Britain)has the right to terminate the Executive Club at any time. In that case, members will be notified at least 6 months prior to the termination. After this period, their right to use the services will cease.

British Airways (Great Britain)can modify the terms and conditions at any time, in which case members will be notified in advance to decide whether to continue or not in the Executive Club.
