The First Christian Church: in the Name of God

Religion is what truly humanizes us. We need to be able to have HOPE and this is only provided by convincingly trusting that there is some superior being to which we must respond to as well as respect and abide by.

For this reason, religion is also an important part of Puerto Vallarta's culture and society. Because of this, there are many places devoted to worshiping that divine being that directs our life in a purposeful and pleasurable manner.

One of this places is the First Baptist Church, located at 181, Argentina Street, Parque Hidalgo. These church has an English service for foreigner tourists on Sundays at 9:45 am (also at 8:30 January through March), followed by the Spanish service at 11. The church's number is 222-1722 or 223-1322.

The First Baptist Church's purpose is to Love God and Love People. Besides, as a church, they value The Bible, which is the inspired word of God, the sole authority of faith and action. Apart from these the church also takes the gospel to community, Missouri, North America, and the ends of the earth. Being disciples and making disciples of Jesus Christ is another of its functions as well as entering into worship by living a daily life, both individually and corporately, that honors God. Providing training and support for our families to be more Christ like. This church is committed to biblical giving of financial resources, talents, and spiritual gifts and it also participates in individual and corporate prayer.

The mission of the First Baptist Church is to provide loving and caring hugs for people to welcome them to take part in God's family where they will develop themselves to be like Christ. In that manner, these people prepare to be part of the church and of the world, contributing to the magnificent church in the name of God.

Baptist people believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Sacred Scriptures are the main rule governing faith and culture. The salvation of men was achieved through Jesus' death. Each and every member of the church has the right and duty to worship God according to what their conscience dictates. In order to be part of the church, people need to be baptize in the name of God, according to the main commandments in the Holy Scriptures. The baptism with water signals the regeneration of the soul. Every member must take part in the Lord's Holy Supper. Besides, each church is independent and ministries are all equal. The best proof of the regeneration of men consists in the abiding by Christ's commandments. Lastly, all and every Christian person must be in peace with other fellows, and must follow holiness without which no one would be able to be in contact with the Lord.

The First Christian Church's staff works for the reign of the Lord. These people are devoted to God because they are well aware that He is the one who has chosen them to be in that ministry. They work to glorify the name of Jesus, and that all the things they do are done in the name of God. The First Christian Church works and acts in the name of God.

Playa de Los Muertos

Playa de Los Muertos is the most famous public beach in Puerto Vallarta, its shoreline of golden sand stretches for a mile. It is very easy to access the beach by the water taxi from Puerto Vallarta, or by city bus or a taxi.

Although its name is quite frightening, as it means the beach of the Dead, it is a great spot loved by all tourists who are looking for action. There are a few legends that tell of the origin of its name. One says about the battle between local miners and pirates after which the locals found bodies on the beach, However, considering the fact that there were no miners in Vallarta, its quite hard to believe that this legend is true.

Playa  de Los Muertos is a perfect place for people- watching: here you may meet tourists and expats from all over the world, as well as friendly families of locals. The South Side of the beach is a gathering place for lesbian and gay tourists, while the North part is crowded with the locals and straight tourists. Enjoy getting new acquaintances, or just observe the diverse groups of people laughing, drinking beer or margaritas, hawking and having fun.

There are many great restaurants, where you can enjoy local specialties. At reasonable prices you will be offered any type of food of various cuisines.
